Ouch

Ambulance services are going to be cut in the UK.

Would you want that to happen here?

Pretty much, instead of getting an ambulance, you get treated at home by travelling nurses. Sounds alright, until you realise that there has to be a decision based upon imperfect information for who goes to each call out. You ring up, say you've had a fall so they send a nurse to you, but s/he is unable to get a head scan which, if you went to hospital in an ambulance, would have shown that the brain is bleeding, five hours later you die.

I would much rather to go to hospital and have everything properly checked out than risk having improper diagnosis.
